4th of July in Huntsville

Well, I've said it a hundred times, but Huntsville is the best place to celebrate the 4th of July. Maybe I just feel that way because growing up our family always drove from Seattle to Huntsville for the 4th and I just have fond memories. I don't know. But now it's simply a good excuse for my family to get together, since we live so far apart. Tripp and Rowan

Watching the parade. I snatched Tripp off the float as they went by. He had had enough by that time. Em, you look really cute in that pic.

We made a float in honor of Grandpa's store, Leon's Market.

Trevor was nice enough to ride with the little kids.

The menfolk hooking the trailer up to the suburban.

Trevor, Emily, Me, Stephanie, Miguel
Look how happy we look! That's because we haven't run the race yet.

I'm really short, huh? I never fully realize it until I see a pic of myself.

Oh, to go back to the days of college and no kids and little responsibility and the ability to sleep in the middle of the day.

Tripp sure loved playing with Avery

You make me miss the mountains, and small town celebrations! It seems to be the two things we just can't get here!

I'm glad you had a great time with your family, and can't wait to see you this fall!
